Tom Hughes has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1974. He and his wife, Teresa, are law partners in Hughes & Hughes, P.A. located in Searcy, Arkansas. Tom Hughes is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and a lifetime member of the Arkansas District Judges Association. He served as a district judge for White County Arkansas (1986-2004). Tom Hughes served as Beebe Police Court Judge (1985-1986) and Beebe City Attorney (1975-1976). He was an adjunct professor at Arkansas State University – Beebe. His public service has included: former president, Beebe Chamber of Commerce; former treasurer, Beebe Industrial Development Commission; former president, Beebe Kiwanis. Tom Hughes has been recognized in Who’s Who in American Law.

Teresa Hughes has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1987. She and her husband, Tom, are law partners in Hughes & Hughes, P.A. located in Searcy, Arkansas. Teresa Hughes is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers, Debtor-Creditor Bar of Central Arkansas, Inc., and the Arkansas Women’s Leadership Forum. She was an adjunct professor at Arkansas State University – Beebe. Her public service has included: past president, White County Bar Association; past chairman and current member, Board of Trustees, White County law Library; secretary, Governor’s Commission on Library Laws; past chairman, White County Election commission; past chairman, White County Democratic Committee; past president, White County Democratic Women; past member, State committee, Democratic Party of Arkansas; past chairman, Board of trustees, White county Library System; past president, Beebe Business & Professional Women; member, Board of Trustees, CASA of White County. Teresa Hughes has been recognized in Who’s Who in American Law.
